The BISSAMBLAZZ Ensemble was founded in 1993 to perform original compositions and arrangements inspired by expressions of Brazilian culture, associated with jazz and contemporary techniques of  musical writing.
Its membership is comprised of presitigious musicians from the Brazilian music scene who,  together with a new generation of young and talented instrumentalists synthesize sonorities, polyrhythms, energy and creativity in unique ways.
Its discography, praised by the critics, displays a convergence within the diversity of contemporary Brazilian instrumental music, disseminating an art that displays the features of Brazilian identity today.
Among its activities, it is committed to keeping Brazilian instrumental music in the forefront of Brazil’s national awareness, offering concerts, CDs’ educatoinal programs and workshops.
